Abstrak

Character is behavior that appears in everyday life both in attitude and in action, so
education should be instilled from an early age so that it can form a good child's
personality. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the character of the
child's responsibility in the school environment for children aged 5-6 years. This study
uses a qualitative descriptive research method and was conducted in January 2021. The
research subjects were homeroom teachers B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, and B6, a total of 6 people.
Data were collected through open interviews. The results showed that the character value
cultivation has been carried out by teachers in schools both through action and
habituation. So far, the teacher always implements the character of responsibility in
children such as giving good examples to children, for example children are taught to put
shoes on the shoe rack provided, throw trash in the space provided, take care of their own
belongings, tidy up toys after use, and children accustomed to tidying up cutlery after
use, but now learning is being carried out online due to the Covid 19 outbreak, teachers
can only provide habituation through voice messages (wa) with the help of parents at
home to help develop children's character. The results of subsequent research are related
to the activities carried out by the teacher in stimulating the character of responsibility in
children. The results of the interview showed that one of the activities carried out to instill
a character of responsibility in children before the pandemic was through learning
activities, habituation activities and examples that were shown and given by the teacher.
Meanwhile, during the pandemic the teacher only provides habituation to the children
through voice messages (wa) with the intermediary of the parents so that the teacher
knows how the child's activities are at home. The obstacle faced by teachers in cultivating
the character of responsibility in children is the lack of habituation from parents when the
child is not in school, because there are three children's environments, namely the school
environment, family environment, and play environment. Suggestions, for children,
hopefully their characters can develop well even though during the pandemic learning
period, for schools the formation of the character of responsibility for children is good, it's
just that the teacher must be more enthusiastic in stimulating children who forget their
responsibilities, have regular meetings with parents so that there are similarity in
educating children, especially in developing character cultivation

Abstrak
Karakter adalah prilaku yang tampak dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik dalam bersikap
maupun bertindak, maka pendidikan sebaiknya ditanamkan sejak dini sehingga dapat
membentuk kepribadian anak yang baik. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah
bagaimana karakter tanggung jawab anak di lingkungan sekolah pada anak usia 5-6
tahun, Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan
dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2021. Subjek penelitian adalah guru wali kelas B1, B2,
B3, B4, B5, dan B6, total 6 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terbuka. Hasil
penelitian menunjukan bahwa penanaman nilai karakter sudah dilakukan oleh guru di
sekolah baik melalui tindakan maupun pembiasaan. Selama ini guru selalu melakukan
penanaman karakter tanggung jawab pada anak seperti memberikan contoh yang baik
pada anak, misal anak diajarkan meletakan sepatu di rak sepatu yang disediakan,
membuang sampah pada tempat yang disediakan, menjaga barang milik sendiri,
merapikan kembali mainan setelah digunakan, dan anak dibiasakan merapikan peralatan
makan setelah digunakannya, tetapi sekarang pembelajaran dilaksanakan daring akibat
wabah covid 19 guru hanya bisa memberikan pembiasaan melalui pesan suara (wa)
dengan bantuan orang tua murid dirumah untuk membantu perkembangan karakter
anak. Hasil penelitian berikutnya terkait dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh guru
dalam menstimulasi karakter tanggung jawab pada anak. Hasil wawancara didapatkan
bahwa salah satu kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk menanamkan karakter tanggung jawab
pada anak sebelum pandemi yaitu melalui kegiatan pembelajaran, kegiatan pembiasaan
dan contoh teladan yang di tunjukan dan diberikan guru. Sedangkan pada saat pandemi
guru hanya memberikan pembiasaan kepada anak melalui pesan suara (wa) dengan
perantara orang tua sehingga guru mengetahui bagaimana kegiatan anak di rumah.
Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam penanaman karakter tanggung jawab pada anak
adalah kurangnya pembiasaan dari orang tua ketika anak tidak berada di sekolah, karena
lingkungan anak ada tiga yaitu lingkungan sekolah, lingkungan keluarga, dan
lingkungan bermain. Saran, bagi anak semoga karakternya bisa berkembang dengan baik
meskipun pada masa pembelajaran pandemik, bagi sekolah pembentukan penanaman
karakter tanggung jawab bagi anak sudah bagus hanya saja guru harus lebih antusias
dalam menstimulasi anak yang lupa akan tanggung jawabnya, melakukan pertemuan
rutin dengan orang tua sehingga adanya kesamaan dalam mendidik anak khususnya
dalam pengembangan penanaman karakter.
