Abstract

Nurses are health workers who have completed nursing education programs both at home and abroad which are recognized by the government of the republic of Indonesia. The working period that describes the work experience affects the productivity of nurses, the longer the working period of a nurse, the productivity will increase. Personal protective equipment is a completeness that must be used when working according to the hazards and risks of work to maintain the safety of the work itself and the people around it. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between tenure and compliance with using personal protective equipment (PPE) in RSUD dr Zainoel Abidin 2022. This study used quantitative research with analytical design with a Cross Sectional approach. Time of implementation This research was conducted on August 2 to 27, 2022. The population in this study were 47 nurses who worked at dr. Zainoel Abidin sampling technique using total sampling. The data analysis in this study used the chi square test. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a relationship between years of service and compliance with using PPE with a p value of 0, 000 < 0.05, which means that there was a relationship between years of service and compliance with using PPE. The conclusion of this study is that the more experience the nurse will be more obedient in using personal protective equipment
