Abstract

Family is the closest person to someone who has health problems or is sick (Badra, 2018). The role of the family in preoperative patients is to be able to create their own comfort for the patient. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of religious music therapy on the anxiety level of the patient's family pre-major surgery in the operating room of dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh in 2022. This study uses a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental pre test and post test without control design with a Cross Sectional approach. The time of this study was carried out in August 2022. The population was 37 families of patients pre-major surgery with sampling techniques. using total sampling. (Data analysis in this study used the chi square test. Results of data analysis The results of the two mean test (T test) obtained p Value = 0.000 when compared with the value of = 0.05 then p Value 5 so that Ha is accepted, that is, there is There is a significant relationship between the influence of religious music therapy on the level of anxiety of the family of preoperative patients with major surgery in the operating room of RSUD Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh in 2022. It is hoped that all families of patients who will undergo surgery can increase knowledge for respondents about the effect of religious music therapy on the level of preoperative patient's family anxiety major.
