Abstract

Pain can be caused by tissue damage in the body as a result of an injury, accident, or medical action such as surgery. The use of pain instruments by nurses has a role in pain assessment, namely as caregivers and advocates. Nurses' knowledge about pain instruments, where the better the knowledge, the better the implementation of pain instruments by nurses will be. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of knowledge of nurses about pain instruments on the use of pain instruments in RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Aceh Province. with a sample of 5 respondents, the sampling technique used purposive sampling. Based on research results. The level of knowledge of RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Aceh Province nurses is 3 respondents (60%), having knowledge values ​​in the good category, while 2 respondents (40%) have knowledge values ​​in the sufficient category, while the use of pain instruments in RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Aceh Province nurses is 3 respondents (60%) has a value of its use is in the good category, 1 respondent (20%) has the value of its use in the poor category, and 1 respondent (20%) has the value of its use in the bad category. The suggestion in this study is that it can be used as input regarding thu use of pain instrumens, it can add insight, information and references which can later be disseminated to nurses within the scope of RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin aceh province.
