Background: Rheumatism is a disease that has long been known and is widespread throughout the world which is symmetrically inflamed so that there will be swelling, pain and eventually cause damage to the inside of the joints and will interfere with the patient's activities/work. Fulfillment of self care (self care) is influenced by factors of age maturity, level of knowledge or education, ability and family support. Objective: to determine the relationship of family support to self-care in the elderly with rheumatism in the village of Paya Dua, Peudawa District, East Aceh Regency in 2022. Research method: quantitative with correlational methods. Sample: totaling 40 respondents using total sampling technique. Research results: And from the results of statistical tests with Spearman rank correlation test with SPSS, it was found that the correlation between family support and self care of rheumatic patients with a significance of .001 0.05 so that according to the criteria it can be concluded that HA is accepted, which means that family support has a relationship. which is significant with self care for rheumatic patients. Conclusion: the relationship between family support and self care is categorized as supportive, body image in stroke patients is in good category. Suggestion: It is hoped that they will be able to control or maintain their thoughts and attitudes to maintain their self-image and also the patient's spirituality.
