PENGARUH PELATIHAN DASAR TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN SISWA DALAM MEMBERIKAN PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA PADA KECELAKAAN DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS NEGERI 1 DARUL IMARAH KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Background : Knowledge is a very important domain to form an action/first aid skill. Students' knowledge of first aid is minimal. The impact of the low level of knowledge related to first aid in accidents on the treatment of burns, stab wounds, bruises and fractures that can be mishandled in fractures can lead to a high risk of death if treatment is delayed. Objective: to introduce basic training to students' knowledge and skills in providing first aid to accidents at the State Senior High School 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar District. Research method: using a pre-experimental method with a one-group research design before and after the test. Sample: totaling 122 respondents using the Random Sampling technique. The results : showed that before being given basic training on the knowledge and skills of students in first aid in accidents, the largest respondents were less knowledgeable 10 respondents (8.2%) before being given training more than some respondents had good knowledge as many as 72 respondents (59.0%) . As for the skills before being carried out, the majority of respondents were less skilled as many as 43 respondents (35.2%) before providing skills more than the skills of the respondents as many as 93 respondents (76.2%). Conclusion: the category of student knowledge before the demo was carried out in the category of lack of knowledge. After demonstrating the students' knowledge in the good knowledge category. As for the category of student skills before the demonstration was carried out in the category of less skilled. After demonstrating the students' skills in the skilled category.
